Dear Community Users,

On Aug 11, Bitlayer announced the official launch of the BitVM Bridge Mainnet Beta on Bitcoin and Ethereum, enabling users to experience YBTC minting and cross-chain functionalities. Simultaneously, an experience event will be launched, where users can participate using an invitation code to earn BTR rewards.

In the future, BitVM Bridge will gradually integrate with more mainnet ecosystem features, further enriching YBTC application scenarios.

I. Product Introduction

As the latest generation of BTC bridges with the best security model, BitVM Bridge will drive the development of Bitcoin DeFi. The Mainnet Beta version introduces two tools tailored to different user groups:

a. Bridge Pro

An institutional-grade YBTC minting tool based on the trust-minimized BitVM2 protocol, suitable for users with single-transaction cross-chain needs of at least 1 BTC. During the Beta experience, the entry threshold is temporarily lowered to 0.001 BTC.

b. Bridge

A fast and secure BTC ⇄ YBTC cross-chain bridge built on distributed encryption mechanisms, suitable for users with single-transaction cross-chain needs up to 1 BTC.

II. Experience Event

a. Event Duration

Starting August 11, 2025, 08:00 UTC

b. Event Rules

The experience event includes the BitVM Bridge Pro Experience and a bug bounty program, detailed as follows:

BitVM Bridge Pro Experience

Total prize pool: 30,000 BTR, first-come, first-served. Users with an invitation code can visit the https://bitvmbridge.bitlayer.org/home to complete tasks and earn rewards:

Task 1: Use BitVM Bridge Pro to bridge at least 0.001 BTC to Ethereum mainnet, earning 100 BTR. Each unique address can complete this task up to 1 time.
Task 2: Use BitVM Bridge Pro to withdraw at least 0.001 YBTC to Bitcoin mainnet, earning 100 BTR. Each unique address can complete this task up to 1 time.

Invitation Code Acquisition

Users can follow Bitlayer’s official community channels (Discord, Telegram, X, etc.) for daily invitation code giveaway activities to obtain limited invitation codes:

Note: Users with an invitation code must complete the task on the same day the code is issued to receive the reward. Rewards cannot be claimed after the code expires.

A Bitcoin wallet with available UTXOs (not linked to BRC-20 or other derivative assets)
An Ethereum compatible wallet (e.g., MetaMask) for receiving YBTC
